Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items
- Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during the meal and addressing any concerns or issues
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting tables and refilling condiments
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen procedures, and service standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, coworkers, and management
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience
- Proficient in handling cash transactions and operating point-of-sale systems
- Basic understanding of food handling and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary knowledge is a plus but not required
