The Server and Bartender responsibilities are to be sales representatives and should be as knowledgeable about all of our menu offerings. We will provide all the information to set you up for success, but it's up to you to use it. These responsibilities are not the sum total of everything that is involved.
- A Nook server should always have a smiling and genuine welcoming attitude
- A Nook server should always keep the guest needs in mind
- Must wear proper Nook attire. Must maintain a clean and professional appearance about yourself
- Must work well with others
- Be able to mix drinks accordingly and to Nook standards
- Able to multitask in a fast paced environment while keeping a cool and controlled demeanor about yourself
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- A Nook server is responsible for providing our guests a safe, clean and friendly environment for dining and fellowship
- A Nook server is responsible for attention to detail. “ATD” is very important! These steps are there to help you do just that and at the same time to cultivate repeat guests that will return
- Able to greet guests in a timely manner
- To be extremely knowledgeable about The Nook beverage and food menu and to be able to answer any questions that the guest may have
- You are expected to provide a “Wow” experience that will bring our guests back again and again. Sell not only The Nook, but yourself!
- Create a long lasting, positive memory for our guests. Help the guest create a positive memory by creating a positive environment for them and not discussing anything negative in your own personal life
- The server is responsible for taking/ringing/upselling/closing out every table correctly and concisely
- Able to correctly close out all guests checks and keep cash and credit slips organized and correct for cashouts at the end of shift
- Bring in a bank in order to cash guests out
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
- Performs other related duties assigned by the manager-on-duty
- Updates job knowledge and safety training by participating in staff training opportunities
