Cocky's is looking for a Bartender to join our team in Cleveland, OH.
Bartender Position Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. The position will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, preparing drinks, and serving food and beverages. The position will also be responsible for cleaning the bar area, including wiping down tables, collecting dishes, and clearing away trash. The position will be required to work nights and weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and serve food and/or beverages following Cocky's recipes, procedures and standards
- Wash, dry and prepare all equipment needed for serving alcohol
- Check in customers with orders and prepare delivery for the next shift
- Ensure correct amount of alcohol in stock and clean out bar at end of shift
- Complete inventory duties with a sense of urgency to ensure proper supply to guests
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area including trash cans, wipe down tables, clean surfaces, clean windows, etc. throughout the shift
- Complete opening closing checks to ensure that the bar is fully stocked before opening shift and ensure that there are no left overs from previous shifts
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized at end of shift (including bar stools, glassware, utensils etc.)
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager to improve efficiency of service department
Required Knowledge/Abilities:
·High school diploma or equivalent preferred; college degree preferred will be considered in lieu of education requirement
·Strong knowledge of alcohol service requirements; experience serving alcohol is preferred but not required. (Preferred)
·Ability to communicate effectively with others including supervisors/managers. This includes being able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow directions as well as maintain a high level of attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure as well as at times be creative and solve problems on your own. A willingness to learn new skills as well as willingness to assist others when needed. A desire to work in the restaurant industry after completing the job process with no restrictions or quotas set forth by management.
