Senior Web Developer - Onsite (Anaheim)

WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, color and font choices, and so on). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Full Stack Development: Engage in hands-on development for both front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring seamless integration of design and functionality. Incorporate automation where applicable.
• Demonstrate WordPress and PHP Expertise: Manage and improve WordPress-based websites to ensure optimal performance, security, and user experience.
• Provide Technical Insight: Collaborate with diverse business partners to scope and plan successful web development projects, leveraging your technical knowledge and expertise.
• Prioritize Quality: Maintain keen attention to detail and uphold quality standards, delivering code that adheres to best practices, security measures, and performance benchmarks.
• Utilize Analytics Tools: Employ analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar to track, analyze, and report on performance metrics. Plan and execute experiments aimed at increasing conversions.
• Stay Informed: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development to introduce innovative approaches and insights to your work.
• Develop User-Friendly Web Pages: Create intuitive and user-friendly web pages using markup languages like HTML.
• Enhance Website Functionality: Continuously maintain and enhance website functionality to meet evolving business needs.
• Optimize for Speed and Performance: Optimize applications to improve speed and overall performance.
• Design Mobile-Friendly Features: Design and implement mobile-friendly features to ensure seamless accessibility across devices.
• Manage Company Databases: Create interfaces to manage company databases efficiently.
• Review and Test Code: Conduct thorough code reviews and testing to identify and rectify errors, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Gather User Feedback: Gather feedback from users and customers to implement necessary solutions for improving website performance and usability.
• Document Functional Requirements: Produce functional requirement documents and guides to aid in project planning and execution.
• Create Mockups and Prototypes: Develop quality mockups and prototypes for design validation.
• Troubleshoot issues related to AMP pages, redirect chains & loops, site crawlability
• Troubleshoot issues related to page speed (LCP, FID, CLS), javascript & CSS files
• Implement schema-structured data items (i.e JSON-lD, Microdata)
• Optimizing website subdomains

• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Marketing, or related field
• 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
• Advanced proficiency in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, WooCommerce, and related technologies
• Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles and web vitals
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and modern web design practices
• Strong API development and integration skills
• Extensive knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of website hosting, security, and ADA compliance guidelines
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working WordPress pages
