Salary Range: $90,043 to $107,100 per year

Days & Hours: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Standard work schedule is 9:00 am to 5:30 PM, may be adjusted. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods. This is a remote position.
BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The Senior full-stack Web Developer will be responsible for front-end and back-end development of various facets of our web application, websites, and portals. The developer will contribute to the specification, design, and implementation of interactive front-end interfaces, back-end processes, and databases in higher education enterprise environments. Additional responsibilities include implement maintainable design and code using standard practices and tools, investigates new software technologies to meet current and future needs, regular status updates to the related parties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze business/functional requirements and develop Java/J2EE based application using Struts framework and its components meeting all the requirements.
- Manage and maintain in-house Grails-Groovy based legacy web applications, write code to interact with secure RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Integrate data from various back-end services (Oracle, Ellucian Colleague, Salesforce etc.) and databases across multiple departments, teams, and systems. Configure SAML settings on IDP/SP, Configure SAML Applications on SSO Admin Portal, integrate applications into portal to support single sign-on.
- Manage and support the university Portal, Create and maintain landing pages, manage users/groups and integrate in-built applets. Create HTML5 and XSL/XML based layout on OUCampus CMS with clear and adaptable requirements. Build user interface using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular JS.
- Administer cloud-based user portal used by the students, staff and technical teams. Support intranet applications portal.
- Manage user interface of existing intranet applications using JSP. Build custom applets on university portal using AngularJS.
- Investigate and resolve production issues for large-scale systems and their upstream/downstream dependencies. Supports production deployment and project go-live tasks.
- Engage with business users to define use cases and user stories, understand requirements and translating them into functional features and specifications.
- Design, test and implement solution based on agreed upon specifications. Write detailed technical documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education requirement:
- Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Web Developer-related occupation.
Position requires education or experience in the following:
One or more data integration middleware products or technologies, such as:
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA);
- Enterprise Service Bus (ESB);
- Java, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Spring/Hibernate, Struts, and SQL databases;
- Groovy/Grails;
- DOM (Document Object Model), jQuery, REST/SOAP web services, AJAX;
- Content management systems, such as OU Campus, including the ability to perform standard installation and configuration;
- Source code management, application build, and deployment tools, Jenkins, TortoiseSVN;
- AGILE and DevOps practices such as CI/CD, GitHub, or Jira; and
- Linux OS and Tomcat.
