Form of workThe Alexa UX team is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to help revolutionize our routines experiences on Alexa. Alexa Routines helps customers create customized experiences on Alexa, increasing the power of their interactions with Alexa devices. For example, at 8am every morning or when you say "good morning", you could setup a routine to turn on your bedroom lights, turn on your coffee maker, and hear news headlines. The possibilities are numerous in this space and we are constantly innovating and solving problems.
The Senior UX Designer will be a key voice in designing the vision for Routines and bringing it to life. You will create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet unique customer needs. You will work closely with other designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science and operational teams to successfully go from early stage product concepts to iterations and launches of new features and offerings.
Key job responsibilities
* Create world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings, These experiences will bridge voice, multimodal, web, and mobile applications.
* Collaborate directly with Conversation Designers and the Research team to ensure a consistent and delightful experience across all customer touch points
* Partner with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements
* Collaborate directly with Software Engineers to bring the resulting designs and vision to market
* Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
* Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
* Present design work to the design team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback
About the team
The Alexa Connections and Essentials Design and Research team works on foundational and innovative Alexa experiences on Echo devices, the Alexa App, Fire TV, tablet, and other devices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, or their functional equivalents
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing in an agile development environment
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Experience designing for multiple platforms and form factors and the ability to communicate, present, and gracefully defend your team's design decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
