Broadridge is growing! We are looking for a Senior Unix/AIX Developer for a contract position. In this role, you'll use your 5-10 years of experience with C/C++ and Unix/AIX to meet and improve project requirements. You'll work with VAX emulation software as well, and create deployments to promote changes to higher environments.
This is a temporary contract position expected to last through the end of June 2024. We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering requirements to meet project/requirement objectives and identifying source code where changes need to be made
- Leveraging Perforce to access C, C++ and Unix Shell Script source code
- Modifying and compiling C/C++ programs to meet project requirements
- Unit testing changes to ensure no application regressions are introduced
- Creating deployments to promote changes to higher environments (QA, UAT and PROD)
- Documenting changes for others to leverage for understanding or future modifications
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience with strong hands-on experience in development of Java web applications
- AWS Cloud experience is a plus, but not required
- Preferred cloud experience includes, but is not limited to: S3, EC2/ECS/EKS, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions
- Strong background in Unix, C, and C++, having experience with Unix operating systems, specifically AIX 5.x-7.x.
- Comfortable with VAX emulation software, as the application is made-up of a mix of C and C++ programs running on Open VMS (VAX emulator).
Hourly range $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
