When you join us, you'll support a variety of transportation plans including multi-modal corridor planning studies, feasibility studies, service planning studies, long-range plans and other plans/programs. In this role you will:
• Conduct planning and feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement plans, and prepare planning deliverables for:
o multimodal transportation systems
o transit networks, facilities, and corridors
o active transportation networks, trails and paths
o sustainable transportation/traffic development
o emerging mobility and innovative technology
o local land use planning
o social and economic inclusion
• Prepare a range of transportation planning documents, including long range regional transportation plans, transit plans, facility plans, service plans, and environmental studies
• Prepare needs analysis, alternatives development and evaluation, and short- and long-range strategies supporting agency staff to deliver projects and programs
• Engage with clients, subconsultants, and stakeholders
• Support business development pursuits and help build client relationships
• Help build the transportation planning team

The base salary range for this position is $110,800 to $173,150 for a Career level position and $133,800 - $209,100 for a Senior level position. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
• Bachelors or master's degree in engineering, planning, policy or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in transportation and land use planning and design, analysis, and studies
• Experience with traffic engineering, planning, land use, complete streets, transit, ITS and/or multimodal corridor projects
• Ability to actively participate in diverse teams and contribute to a secure and empowering work environment built on equity and inclusion
• Ability to effectively manage time to deliver tasks accurately and on schedule.
Ideally, you'll also have:
• Experience facilitating discussions and presenting complex information
• Experience with industry standards and systems for state DOT and municipal clients
• Basic to advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, mapping applications and Microsoft office.
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Professional registrations in Traffic and/or Civil Engineering
