Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Technician, Material Verification and Control to join our team in Fairfield, CA. This position will create, review, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) packages in accordance with AS9102 and HRC QMS documentation.

The salary range for this role is 38,000 USD - 86,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Position Role Type:

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Technician, Material Verification and Control to join our team in Fairfield, CA. This position will create, review, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) packages in accordance with AS9102 and HRC QMS documentation.
This will be an onsite role in Fairfield, CA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides support to manufacturing operations in the review of products and of engineering and manufacturing processes, including First Article Inspections.
- Maintains quality data records, compiles information, and prepares reports for internal and external customers.
- Follows up with internal or external customers as needed to complete assignments.
- Information Management - Uses various software packages to maintain and update documents and records.
- Work with inspectors to assure compliance to quality.
- Support CORE initiatives through participation and implementation
- Participate in special FAI projects as assigned
- Regularly communicate with all different levels of production support personnel
- Use good problem-solving skills
- Audit adherence to processes and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Inspection experience and workmanship knowledge preferred.
- Proficient at reading and interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints
- SAP Experience
- Knowledge of DISCUS software and/or Net-Inspect
