Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Surgical Services, the Surgical Technologist II performs advanced skills of the Surgical Tech I and is responsible for maintenance of equipment and systems, room turnover, case flow, cost containment and financial reimbursement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist certificate program within 1 year of employment (NCST or NCCT).
  • National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 2 years hospital based Surgical Technologist experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • 5 years experience in a major service area (i.e. ortho, neuro, trauma, cardiac).
