Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a smart and ambitious Senior Tax Accountant to join our firm and head our Tax Department. Are you someone who loves saving Small Business Owners money on taxes?

We are a 100% remote fast-growing accounting firm that continues to experience exponential growth. The ideal person will be 100% remote working from their home office with us for at least 7-9 years tax experience. Our ideal candidate is intelligent, ambitious, client-focused, and looking to advance their career in tax, accounting, and finance. Our ideal candidate will be able to handle complex bookkeeping and tax work, and be able and willing to present financial information to clients on a daily basis and complete complex business and individual tax returns.

We have a great niche of clients in specialized industries. Our clients come to us for our advanced industry knowledge and the high level of service we provide. If you're good with people we'd love to chat with you. You'll be working on both the magnificent (tax strategy, corporate finance, etc.) and the mundane (bookkeeping, tax preparation, etc).

Our ideal candidate:

• CPA/EA required
• Experience in a tax/accounting firm
• Client-facing experience
• Comfortable with preparing and presenting financial information to clients
• Excited about preparing forecasts & budget and truly advising clients about opportunities in their business
• Ability to think on the spot and help guide clients through tax implications of their situation
• Ability to prepare and review tax returns independently (1120S, 1065, Schedule C and 1040)
• Ability to troubleshoot bookkeeping work, find errors and correct them
• Ability to recognize when something doesn't look right and analytical skills to find/correct the issue
• Mentor the bookkeeping team and continuously increase their accounting/payroll/tax knowledge
• Ability to write clearly with proper grammar, comfortable explaining complex concepts in writing
• Team player who is happy to jump in and help a colleague
• Committed to researching, being resourceful, asking questions, and anything else to *FIND THE ANSWER*
• Establish, document, and evaluate internal processes for the best client experience.
• Knowledgeable in QuickBooks Online is preferred but not required
