Job description

The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation's space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. As the operator of a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), we are broadly engaged across all aspects of space- delivering innovative solutions that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil and commercial customers. When you join our team, you'll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.
At Aerospace, we are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees to share in our common passion and aspiration - to carry out a mission much bigger than ourselves.
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) is responsible for integrating systems across the National Security Space Enterprise to deliver multi-domain warfighter effects.
The Aerospace Corporation's Space Systems Architecture Division (SSAD) delivers the technical expertise to enable this integration. SSAD is charged with evaluating the existing space architectures and system capabilities, conducting analysis to show how those systems contribute towards closure of mission threads and kill chains, and identifying technical solutions that contribute to an overall resilient and effective Space Enterprise. Our team works across the enterprise of government agencies to understand existing and planned systems, to inform the scope of additional capability needs and solutions to support the warfighter.
Work Model

  • Providing Aerospace support to the Space Systems Command architecture studies and end-to-end system integration across programs, with a focus on delivering warfighter effects
  • Supporting efforts related to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) Force Designs and Assessment and Alternatives, and integrating Aerospace analyses and products with SWAC objectives
  • Providing technical assessments of space systems-of-systems architectures that contribute to the closure of kill and effects chains
