The Identity and Network Access Team in Mountain View, CA builds and manages Microsoft's online identity providers. The Identity and Network Access Team builds and manages Microsoft's online identity providers for all of Microsoft's online services and platforms like Azure, Office, Xbox, and HoloLens. The Identity and Network Access Team is searching for a Senior Software Engineer - Platform & Engineering Productivity who can define, build, and evolve heavily integrated platforms at scale. Our team is part of the Security organization in Microsoft and is responsible for bringing networking, identity, and security together. Responsibilities

• You will collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and the technology to support them.
• Engage in and improve end-to-end lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Analyze complex system behavior, performance, and application issues.
• Apply modern Software Engineering practices to streamline deployments, drive down costs and operational overhead while meeting critical reliability and availability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Work hand in hand with engineering teams to offer guidance and education on integration, testing, monitoring, and security across different technology stacks.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related Technical Discipline AND 4+ years Technical Engineering Experience with Coding in Languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of technical experience and/or knowledge in ALL of the following:
  • DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Designing and Working on public cloud services.
  • Building Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Secure Development Lifecycle.
  • Designing and Maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code, building large scale cloud infrastructure.

Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
