Responsibilities: Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Senior Software Engineer to Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, cloud-based and Internet related tools. Work in an area of specialization to develop systems-level software, working on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Utilize technical foundation in software compiler technology and experience in compilation techniques from the C++ language to develop technology that will advance software programmability. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires one (1) year of experience with the following technologies and/or skills:
- Python, C, or C++;
- CPU architecture, GPU architecture, or SoC architecture;
- Data structures;
- Object-oriented design and memory management;
- GNU toolchain; and
- Hardware logic and functional simulation.
