Overview
The Senior Software Engineer position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will be part of a high visibility program team responsible for architecting and implementing software solutions that enable operational planning for the warfighter and combatant commands. The individual will report to a Software Engineering Functional Lead.
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of an Agile development team, using cybersecurity and agile software development processes to execute software design, development, and test.
- Lead and/or support all phases of software product development to include, developing software requirements based on customer inputs, developing, and updating software architecture, software development, and software test activities.
- Implement software designs using disciplined coding standards, cybersecurity compliance, and industry best practices to ensure robust, reliable, and maintainable software.
- Lead and/ or mentor members of the engineering team to expand overall team knowledge and lessons learned.
- Document and present technical results to tech leads, management, and/or customers.
- Support the development of contract deliverables.
- Support other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 8 to 12 years of Software Engineering experience with real-time software for DoD programs.
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle required.
- Demonstrated Experience with C++, Java, Python required.
- Ability to periodically work in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and design implementations.
- Good oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to organize work and deliver on time work products.
Clearance
- Active Secret Clearance Required
