Senior Software Engineer

Overview

The Senior Software Engineer position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will be part of a high visibility program team responsible for architecting and implementing software solutions that enable operational planning for the warfighter and combatant commands. The individual will report to a Software Engineering Functional Lead.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an Agile development team, using cybersecurity and agile software development processes to execute software design, development, and test.
• Lead and/or support all phases of software product development to include, developing software requirements based on customer inputs, developing, and updating software architecture, software development, and software test activities.
• Implement software designs using disciplined coding standards, cybersecurity compliance, and industry best practices to ensure robust, reliable, and maintainable software.
• Lead and/ or mentor members of the engineering team to expand overall team knowledge and lessons learned.
• Document and present technical results to tech leads, management, and/or customers.
• Support the development of contract deliverables.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

• Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle required.
• Demonstrated Experience with C++, Java, Python required.
• Ability to periodically work in a dynamic team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and design implementations.
• Good oral and written communication skills are required.

Clearance

• Active Secret Clearance Required
