At SLS, our software team builds RFID enabled Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions that manage customer information from the point of data capture by on-premise clients, across cloud-based data and event repositories, and ultimately to business application responsible for production, order management, inventory management, or logistics.
The value of our solution is maximized when our solutions are integrated into the customers system landscape, normally composed of enterprise level ERP, WMS, and MES applications. In its most mature form, we can help customers managed products across their entire life cycle.
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer who will be building RFID enabled Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions as well as developing and managing customer relationships to ensure solutions can be deployed successfully, while establishing SLSVIEW as a critical component of their system landscape. Strong communication skills are required to discuss solution designs within the software team and create technical documentation to support the product life cycle.
The ability to be onsite at SLS headquarters in Howell, MI is preferred.
What You'll Do

• Architect, design, develop, and execute customer facing software products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology infrastructure.
• Demonstrate expertise in GS1 EPCIS architecture and apply this knowledge in the creation of integration and migration plans.
• Understand and utilize Common Business Vocabulary (CBV) to maintain coherence across migrated software components.
• Ensure compliance with GS1 Tag Data Standards in all integrated and migrated solutions.
• Stay abreast of RFID technologies and advocate for their incorporation for enhanced system integrations and migrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful and timely delivery of integration and migration projects.
• Troubleshoot integration and migration-related issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Document architectural designs, integration patterns, migration plans, and best practices.
• Collaborate with well established software providers on the development of pre-built connectors to RFID enable different industries and processes

What You'll Need
Required:

• Education Requirement: Undergraduate or Graduate degree
• 5+ years of experience with programming languages
• Strong understanding of Git and version control best practices
• Strong software development experience with Android, Windows, and/or iOS
• Strong software deployment and support background with enterprise level software applications

Preferred:

• Experience with cross platform architecture and design strategies
• Familiarity with test driven design and unit testing principles
