About the Team

The Workday Field Service Executive team plays a meaningful role in connecting Workday’s services organizations ensuring that we are supporting subscription sales by differentiating Workday’s services approach and methodology, as well as ensuring that our customers are set up to be successful in their deployment projects and meet their business objectives.
Our aim is to be trusted advisors to our prospects and customers, working to Workday’s core values of Customer Service and Integrity, and protecting Workday’s consistent track record of customer happiness. Successful candidates will be passionate about working as part of an account team supporting sales cycles; engaging with customers to develop deployment strategies and plans that meet their requirements; and handling detailed and sophisticated information to prepare estimates, proposals and contracts.

About the Role

As a Workday Field Services Sales Executive for our Professional Services organization, you will be responsible for leading, planning, management, and execution of all Professional Services business development activities in your area. You will be a key team member of the Workday Field Services team, working alongside the Workday Account Executives, driving Workday Subscription sales across Workday’s market segments.

You’ll use your experience with consulting sales and project delivery to help prospects put together a plan for a successful project, including resources, timeline, and costs. You’ll employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Workday’s SaaS Solutions and Platform technologies as the efficient, modern alternative, and you will be a professional in Workday’s innovative deployment methodology.

About You

  • Understand the competitive landscape and prospect needs so you can effectively position the value of Workday’s innovative deployment methodology and Professional Services.
  • Present Workday Customer Services overview and conduct services discovery sessions.
  • Create and validate Professional Services Proposals and high-level Project Plans.
  • Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with Workday Services Partners.
  • Assess project team training needs for prospects and customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.
  • Manage, negotiate, and close Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work (SoWs) and other contractual documentation
  • Provide support for services activities and events.
  • Basic Qualifications (BQs):

  • 4+ years' experience leading Financials and/or ERP implementation projects – Financial systems, GL, A/P, A/R, Procurement
  • 3+ years' experience in ERP Professional Services Sales organizations
  • Other Qualifications (OQs):

  • Proven track record in managing sophisticated Services Sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful service revenue and profitability attainment preferred
  • Understand and can optimally explain the benefits of cloud architecture.
  • Solid understanding of vendors, products, and services in the Financials (and HCM /Payroll) Enterprise Application space.
  • Great presentation skills while participating in a fast-paced, sophisticated product and Services Sales cycle.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with commercial processes and tools, including RFP responses, project calculation and/or estimation tools, and scope description and/or contract documentation
  • Exposure and/or experience with mid-size enterprise clients preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Travel required: up to 50%

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
