Company Overview:
Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a well known and respected manufacturer in the Lake Forest, CA area. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions to enhance our production processes.
Responsibilities:
Programming Robotics and PLCs:
- Develop, implement, and troubleshoot control systems.
- Design and program Robots (ABB) and PLCs to automate manufacturing processes efficiently.
Capital Project Leadership:
- Lead capital projects from the initial concept phase to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
Design Experience:
- Utilize your design expertise to create and optimize automation systems, ensuring they align with industry standards and company requirements.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications for automation components.
HMI Development:
- Design and implement Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for user-friendly control and monitoring of automation systems.
- Ensure HMI designs enhance user experience and contribute to overall system efficiency.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of automated systems.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in automation engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, etc.
- Extensive experience in programming and troubleshooting Robots and PLCs.
- Strong design skills with the ability to create detailed engineering drawings.
- Proven leadership in managing capital projects from conception to completion.
- Experience in developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
