- In this role, works independently to manage jurisdictional inspection workload within an assigned territory. Take ownership of the territory and effectively prioritize, plan, and schedule work. Utilize provided technology resources for maximum efficiency. Respond to customer requests and helps customers understand and mitigate risks associated with equipment breakdowns.
- Conduct risk evaluations which identify key objects, evaluate risk, and develop Risk Control recommendations and report findings necessary to determine insurability and/or maintaining profitability (e.g., description of the operation, key objects, bottlenecks and general conditions) report findings of probable exposures and/or unexpected risk to appropriate Boiler & Machinery staff (e.g., Account Executives, Marketing Executives). Participates as a member of the Field Office or HO CURE Committee as required.
- Evaluates uncommon occupancies, equipment and processes for loss exposures. Working collaboratively with other BM RC staff, develops appropriate recommendations for controls necessary to minimize exposure to breakdown. Helps underwriting staff understand loss potentials.
- Promptly investigate claims as requested by the claim department. Evaluate elements of the claim, extent of damage, invoice review, and cause of loss. Identify external factors that may have contributed to the loss, and opportunities for subrogation. Develop strategy to mitigate loss and prevent future occurrences. Effectively communicate, document, and report findings to appropriate member(s) of Boiler & Machinery staff.
- Serve in the Account Manager role for a designated account, agent, or broker. Manage the relationship to ensure service needs are met. Participate in marketing calls, conduct presentations to sell Risk Control and its services. Assist in the development and delivery of training seminars.

- ARM or other appropriate professional designation preferred
- 10 years Risk Control experience in the B&M insurance industry.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
