Position Summary
Perform and coordinate the development, tracking, reporting and analysis of financial information, including financial reporting, budget creation, and financial analysis for the Property Services organization. Provide proactive, clear, and actionable recommendations and alternatives to help drive business discussions and decisions. Standardize and document key processes and internal control points for data management and reporting functions.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating facility master plans and proposals to verify the need for budgetary requests using established guidelines. Scrutinize data and assumptions for reasonableness and push back when needed. Through collaboration with department leadership and the Corporate Finance department, oversee the development of 5-year financial plans and priorities lists. Review, approve, and process ongoing funding requests (including review of initial estimates, change orders, etc.).
  • Lead month-end financial closing and reporting processes. Provide monthly actual versus budget variance analysis, support achievement of cost targets, and analyze and investigate opportunities for cost reductions within the capital and operating budgets. Partner with the Corporate Finance department to ensure financial reports are providing valuable insights. Assist with creation and implementation of additional reporting or dashboard views and work to continuously improve reporting solutions. Develop, report, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics to align with departmental and company initiatives.
  • Analyze performance of projects and budgetary initiatives; evaluate results regarding schedule, costs, client relationships and quality with the goal of maintaining a consistent level of performance. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, interviews, best practice research, and develop practical findings and recommendations for department leaders and decision-makers to improve budgetary outcomes. Manage relationships with suppliers and internal business partners to investigate and identify process issues and potential improvements. Provide performance monitoring of all Property Services contracts and contractors.
  • Ensure that standard operational guidelines are updated and created where necessary and maintained in a structured format. Train and provide guidance to Property Services resources, key business partners and suppliers on systems, processes, and established policies and guidelines. Serve as SME for sourcing and procurement tools, budget databases, and SAP system.
  • Participate in or lead special projects as assigned. Projects may include but are not limited to identification, implementation and testing of system upgrades or enhancements, rate case support, conducting informal financial analysis and developing ad hoc reports and process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee completion of data entry for SAP Purchase requests (PR), Change Orders (CO), OA extensions and other operational artifacts. Review, analyze, and troubleshoot invoice-, payment-, and tax-related issues by effectively working with suppliers and internal business partners. Provide guidance and support on these functions to business partners within the HR&ES division. Provide training and direction to junior analyst position on these functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4 years related experience. Experience in budgeting and financial analysis. Experience in financial management or facilities management. SAP experience. Ability to work on multiple, complex projects and using effective time management with minimal levels of supervision. Must be customer focused, self-motivated, results and team oriented. Must be flexible and able to multi-task. Must have the ability to train others.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $68,000.00 to $96,665.00 per year
