This management firm is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to assist with maintaining the books for multiple commercial properties. Duties Include:
- Reconciliation of the general ledger and sub-ledgers
- Communicate directly with property managers to prepare budgets and forecasts
- Review cash receipts and invoices for proper coding
- Work with Property Managers to prepare CAM reconciliations and estimates
- Produce monthly/quarterly financial statements and work with property managers to prepare variance reports and analysis
- Collaborate with the Controller to prepare proration schedules
- Accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform cash flow reports
- Input and review lease abstracts
- Assist with payables and reconcile intercompany accounts
- Prepare month-end close
- Work on tax-related issues, loan administration, and construction draws
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relative experience
At least 3 years of accounting in real estate or property management
Experience with MRI and Yardi preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience preparing CAM reconciliations
