Responsibilities:
Hire, train and direct the activities of employees reporting to this position to make the best use of their time and abilities.
Analyze Profit and Loss Reports and make adjustments to increase job profitability.
Develop metrics to track profitability by project type and post audit projects.
Work in coordination with Senior Estimator and President to identify bid targets by project type.
Review Pay Apps submitted by project managers and coordinate with Accounting to ensure their timely and accurate processing.
Review and research technology options that may aid the department.
Meet with CEO regularly to report on job profitability, training and educational opportunities and technology upgrades.
Meet with CEO and CFO to create annual budget including departmental salaries, equipment and software purchases and stock materials.
Make field visits and monitor ongoing project progress to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Attend jobsite meetings as necessary.
Resolve jobsite issues in a timely manner.
Monitor Job Status Reporting to ensure execution on all projects within customer timeline and quality standards
Conduct bi-annual employee evaluations of direct reports.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in project management, business management, construction management or related field preferred.
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in commercial construction.
Proven ability to lead a team of direct reports.
Excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to run effective project meetings, workshops and conferences.
