We are currently assisting the recruitment and talent acquisition efforts of a leading U.S. Defense and Aerospace products Tier 1 supplier who is seeking an experienced Project/Program management professional who has experience managing programs with military and government customers and OEMs.

 

Job Description:

Responsible for managing the cost, revenue, cash, schedule requirements, and risk requirements for a highly critical military program through all phases from proposal to period of performance completion. Ensures that all resources such as engineering, manpower, subcontracts, and line items are available to support internal and external delivery targets. Involved in defining deliverables, and guiding internals teams.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs
  • Directing the preparation of moderate to large size proposals, proposal statements of work and specifications, operating budget and financial terms/conditions of a contract.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Formulates and executes long term plans for cost/profit control.
  • Directs the work of functional team members assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Works with customers and Sales teams to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinating and managing Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Surveys, Site Acceptance Tests, Transfer of Production/Technology projects, complex installations, complex maintenance/sustainment programs.
  • Works with customers to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities.
  • Assists Sales team to secure new orders, formulate requirements, and help expedite orders.
  • Formulates and executes long term plans for cost/profit control.

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree with 4 years of relevant program management experience.
  • Future ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • Ability to lead, organize, and influence from the advisement of company management to a matrixed team environment.
  • Experience with software tools used in the program/project management function.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • PMI certification and Earned Value Management experience
  • Possess current Secret clearance
  • Experience in supporting mid-size to large, complex programs with an emphasis on US and international government procurement process
  • Experience in mid-size to large, complex proposals
  • Understanding of international shipping terms and ITAR export control regulations
