Senior Producer

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Producer to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of our game projects, ensuring their successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including design, art, programming, and QA, to ensure efficient workflows, effective communication, and the achievement of project goals. This is a pivotal role where you will drive the production process and contribute to the overall success of our games.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production of game projects, from concept to release, ensuring their delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Collaborate closely with the Game Director, Art Director, Technical Director, and other stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and constraints.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate and communicate project progress, updates, and priorities to the team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, proactively seeking solutions and implementing contingency plans.
• Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and resource utilization, and making informed decisions to optimize project costs.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of production pipelines and workflows, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with the design, art, programming, and QA teams to facilitate effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting a positive work environment and ensuring high morale and motivation.
• Facilitate decision-making processes, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance to the team to ensure project objectives are met.
• Coordinate with external partners, contractors, and vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of contracted services.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements in game development methodologies, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in game development, with a a minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role on a released product.
• Proven experience managing the production of game projects from concept to release, preferably in the console game industry.
• Strong understanding of game development pipelines, processes, and methodologies.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to create and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate challenges.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software.
• Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute to a high-paced, changing work environment.
• Proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships with people at all levels.
• Ability to adhere to an expectation of complete confidentiality on all business matters.
• A passion for video games and a deep understanding of the gaming industry.

The base pay range for this position is $152,000 to $236,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a competitive package of benefits including paid time off, sick time, company holidays, parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
