Responsibilities
*Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and achieve cost savings. *Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements. *Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements. *Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. *Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance, resolving any issues or discrepancies as they arise. *Coordinate with legal and finance departments to review and approve contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and align with company objectives. *Track procurement activities and expenditures, analyzing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement. *Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for procurement processes, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance with industry standards. *Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff, assisting with training and development as needed. *Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting procurement practices, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus. *Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role. *Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management principles. *Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions. *Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. *Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. *Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive results while maintaining positive vendor relationships. *Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement, including contract law and compliance standards. *Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
