Confluent Medical Technologies is growing! We're looking for a Senior Materials Process Engineering Technician to join our Fremont, CA team!
As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
With minimal supervision, assist in the development of high precision nitinol tubing. This includes learning/operating production equipment and testing equipment.
Work closely with engineers to coordinate development activities for multiple tubing products.
Hands-on position with development for manufacturing as the primary focus.
Collect, summarize, and analyze data for trends in process variability.
Prioritize work and generate timelines.
Participate in developing cost standards.
Troubleshoot moderately complex issues with processes/methods and equipment/tooling.
Generate draft work instructions.
Lead and train junior employees in areas of expertise.
Adhere to company quality policies and procedures which actively require conformance.
Be responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of eight years relevant experience in a development environment or nitinol processing/manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and creative/innovative thinking.
Must be capable of applying good manufacturing principles during the developmental phase in anticipation of production volumes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment required.
Experience with nitinol tube processing and relevant equipment/tooling is a plus.
Specific experience in Minitab and Design of Experiments are a plus.
