Job Description Summary: PayPal is seeking an experienced, highly engaged, improvement-oriented Senior Payroll Tax Analyst to manage our Payroll Taxes for US and Canada. You will be a subject matter expert and possess a good understanding of Federal, Multi-State, Local, and Provincial tax regulations. You need to have attention to detail and effective communication with both internal and external parties. You will be responsible for managing Payroll Tax activities, resolving tax-related issues, and staying current with changes in tax laws. You will work with auditors, providing the requested tax information and able to answer any questions as it relates to tax withholding.

Responsibilities:
Build:
- Own the accurate and timely recording and payments for employee taxes for our bi-weekly and ad hoc payrolls.
- Build a strong working relationship with ADP SmartCompliance Service to ensure PayPal is compliant with tax laws.
- Create and document processes that can be streamlined and automate processes when allowed.
Partner:
- Leverage the relationships with ADP SmartCompliance Service.
- Work with the payroll team to cross-train and support as a back-up as needed.
- Work with US and Canada tax agencies on audits and other reporting as required.
- Serve as an SME for the US and Canada payroll team to resolve tax-related issues.
Deliver:
- Ensure PayPal in compliant in partnership with the US and Canada payroll team.
- Review the monthly and quarterly tax withholding reports to resolve and correct Out of Balances.
- Provide end-to-end support for all tax related tasks.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all tax filings, amendments and reporting of year-end documents and filings.
- Research and provide solution for tax inquiries and amendments.
Automate and Improve:
- Automate manual processes includes automations of required monthly reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency of Payroll Tax operations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years of progressive Payroll Tax experience and strong understanding of Payroll Tax compliance and reporting for the United States and Canada.
- ADP SmartCompliance and ADP GlobalView knowledge highly recommended.
- Experience using Workday for HR data.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution skills, coupled with an ownership mentality to ensure tasks are seen through to completion.
- Ability to incorporate inputs from multiple stakeholders around approaches and program design, coupled with the ability to translate inputs into effective execution and tangible outcomes.
- Skilled at simplifying and operationalizing processes and systems to drive efficient delivery of services at scale. Eager to learn new things and apply knowledge to innovate, improve/simplify processes.
- Thrive in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment. Ability to manage high job complexity and constant multi-tasking with exceptional attention to detail.
- Well organized, able to prioritize well, work efficiently. Shows flexibility as workloads fluctuate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer focus.
- Perform or assist with other duties outside of your function as needed; adequate training will be provided if necessary.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
