The Senior Patient Care Coordinator performs all duties at an expert level within a Patient Care Coordinator’s scope of practice. The Senior Patient Care Coordinator has supervision and process improvement of any clerical components (ensure answering calls in a timely manner, ensure front desk coverage) in conjunction with completing PCC duties.
Clinic Hours: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Schedule: 8-, 10- and 12-hour shifts, days will vary per business needs, and weekends are required in schedule

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, support and direction for the front office staff
- Function as first contact for customer service issues
- May assist to coordinate work of other team members
- Resolve complex issues rarely deferring to supervisor/manager
- Serves as APCC mentor and trainer and provides expertise as SME to PSR staff
- Lead may need to be willing to travel within their own market for coverage, training, support needs, assisting with training newly acquired clinic locations, etc.
- May perform regular APCC duties to include: Greeting patients; Complete check-in and check-out tasks; Collecting co-payments, processing deposits; Answering phones, scheduling appointments, re-direct calls as appropriate, and assist callers with questions or concerns within the APCC scope
- In addition to regular APCC duties, must be dedicated to clinic metrics/projects/initiatives as deemed by clinic leadership. Examples include but are not limited to the following:
- Onboards new APCC’s
- Trains APCC’s
- Safety Champion
- Clinic Policy/SOP champion, develop awareness
- Actively involved in assisting the role out of any new trainings
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 3+ years of experience working in a medical environment
- 2+ years of medical front office experience with working knowledge of general office procedures
- 2+ years of experience with strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone
- 1+ years of experience with proven ability to mentor and train others
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Senior Patient Care Coordinator, Lead, or supervisory experience
- Bilingual (English / Spanish)
- Prior experience with EMR computer applications
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour.
