Senior Packaging Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Boston's Packaging department stand at the core of what we do as a brewery! By being a member of our hard-working packaging team, you will be ensuring that the quality and quantity of MBBC products meet our highest standards before being sent to our wholesalers and customers. The Senior Packaging Operator is responsible for maintaining upkeep, preforming maintenance on all packaging lines and assisting with creation and roll out of new packaging department SOP’s. This position requires a combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to maintaining product quality and safety.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITITES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ability to successfully perform PM’s on Canning Line and Racking
• Ability to identify faults on motor drives while having an understanding and utilization of documented troubleshooting guides for correcting minor stops.
• Responsible for sending out maintenance work order updates to packaging team and maintenance teams
• Complete understanding of our Maintenance systems
• Ability to understand and execute LOTO procedures
• Assisting with creating and updating Safety SOPs, PMs, and LOTO program
• Operate and oversee the operation of packaging machinery, including canning lines, bottling lines, and labeling machines.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper setup and adjustment of equipment for different beer products.

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

2+ years of previous experience in a packaging or production role in a brewery or beverage industry is required.

• Must demonstrate Mastery of machines to quickly fix common issues - Identifying issues and understanding of whys. Machines include, but are not limited to: Filler, Sleever, Twist Rinser.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
