Senior Network Engineer

Position : Senior Network Engineer

Location : Fremont, CA.

Mandatory : Python & InfiniBand networks

Proven track record as a Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex networks.

In-depth knowledge of InfiniBand technology, including network fabrics, switches, adapters, and routing protocols.

Expertise in data center network configurations, with a solid understanding of optics, fibers, and related infrastructure.

Strong scripting skills using Python for network automation tasks.

Experience with network monitoring tools and a proactive approach to troubleshooting network issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in InfiniBand technology.

Responsibilities

This is a one-year contract position with the potential for extension based on performance. You'll be responsible for the following key activities:

Design and Deploy InfiniBand Network Architectures: Plan and implement InfiniBand network configurations tailored to client's specific high-performance computing requirements.

Configuration and Optimization: Configure and fine-tune InfiniBand switches, routers, adapters, and other hardware components to ensure peak performance and reliability.

Network Security Implementation: Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data transmitted over the InfiniBand network, adhering to industry standards and client's security policies.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain optimal uptime for the InfiniBand network.

Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate InfiniBand technology into various projects and applications, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Vendor Collaboration and Evaluation: Partner with hardware and software vendors to evaluate new InfiniBand technologies and recommend enhancements to the existing infrastructure.

Documentation: Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain a comprehensive record of network operations.

Bonus Points

⦾Experience with CI/CD pipelines for network automation.

⦾Familiarity with code repository solutions (e.g., Git).

⦾Knowledge of network security best practices and security protocols for InfiniBand networks

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
