We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cisco Wireless Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will lead our client's wireless engineering team and manage the implementation and maintenance of their wireless network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a CCIE Wireless certification and at least 5 years of experience in wireless networking, including experience leading a team.
This role is NOT a remote position. Our US Federal Government client requires you to be on a 1-week on-site, 1-week remote rotation, so you'll need to be currently commutable to Washington DC. You'll also need US Citizenship and a completed background investigation to be able to access the client's location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the wireless engineering team and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Design and implement complex wireless networks, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless network issues, including performance, connectivity, and security issues.
- Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the wireless network infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Participate in project planning and implementation activities.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest wireless networking technologies and trends.
- CCIE Wireless certification is required.
- At least five years of experience in Cisco wireless networking, including experience leading a team.
- Experience with Cisco wireless networking technologies, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, and Prime Infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
