The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing network solutions for the customers to ensure maximum uptime. The role includes designing system configurations, documenting and managing the pre-installation and testing of a new network and performs upgrades to hardware and software as required. The knowledge of or desire to learn about servers, virtualization, windows domain, and/or SQL is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience with a BS in Electrical, IT, or Computer engineering or related fields
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Clearance; EOD (Public Trust)
- Advanced knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools and philosophies, and the ability to design an organization's network infrastructure and services.
- Experience creating network configurations and designs for L2 and L3
- Experience with networking protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, RIP. Knowledge of VXLAN is a major benefit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCNA
