- Individuals within the Technology Consultant job family maintain the broadest range and depth of knowledge in their respective area of expertise within the IT organization. This job family is comprised of a specialized team of internal high-level subject matter experts who keep abreast of emerging technologies and influence strategic decisions regarding technical direction of the business.
Required Skills/Experience:
WAN/LAN/WLAN:
- Cisco Networking (knows IP addressing and troubleshooting)
- Understanding of routing/switching protocols, including EIGRP and BGP.
- Experience with the design and maintenance of Cisco wireless environments both standalone and controller based.Experienced working in virtualized and cloud-based environments.
- Setup and maintenance of Quality of Service (QoS).
- CCNP certification a plus
- Load Balancing
- LTM, ASM, APM
- Firewalls Checkpoint
- Palo Alto
- Cisco
Preferred Skills/Experience – Optional but preferred skills/experience. Include:
- HP Service Manager
- Cisco ISE
Education/Certifications – Include:
- CCNP preferred
- Checkpoint CCSA, CCSE preferred
- Palo Alto ACE, PCNSE preferred
- Bachelors Degree in computer science or networking required.
- Masters degree in computer science, or related field preferred.
- 10 years of IT work experience in multiple IT areas and 2 years of relevant enterprise-wide experience in multiple technology areas required.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge in three major technology areas.
- Knowledge of the business required.
Required Skills/Experience
- WAN/LAN/WLAN: Routing and switching protocols, especially EIGRP, BGP.
- Working with troubleshooting tools, including packet analysist tools such as Wireshark and SNMP tools like Solar Winds. Familiarity/experience with cloud-based services and
- virtualized environments.
- Firewall: Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto. Troubleshooting in each environment.
- Familiarity with DMZ, cloud and virtual environments.
- Load Balancer: F5 (GTM, LTM, ASM, APM).
