Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer
Location: Plano, TX & Richmond, VA
Duration 6+months (Hybrid).
Senior software Network Engineer with expertise in Networking who will be responsible for implementing highly scalable solutions on the Microsoft Azure Public Cloud and On-Premises platforms. This process includes continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, infrastructure design and implementation, release management, and supporting the end-to-end release process. As a member of the team, you will work alongside developers and reliability teams to ensure site reliability and that all releases seamlessly move from development through staging and into production.
The Day to Day:
- Responsible for driving operations excellence by implementing strategies for continuous integration and delivery.
- Operate, support, and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
- Drive increased efficiency across our agile product delivery teams, eliminating duplication and leveraging product and technology reuse.
- Work alongside Solutions Architects to design an efficient platform ecosystem to enable DevOps maturity and release pipeline autonomy.
- Document and advocate the adoption of our continuous delivery/continuous integration processes and tools to increase product team productivity.
Position Requirements – What we are looking for:
- Comprehensive understanding and experience deploying network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, LAN Switching Technologies, Next-Gen Firewalls (Fortinet preferred) Load Balancing (F5 preferred), etc.
- Experience utilizing a public cloud sector (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Prior experience working with industry networking tools: monitoring (Splunk, NetScout, Zabbix), management (Prime, ISE, Aruba Central) inventory management (Netbox, IPAM), and DNS solutions.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
- Scripting experience with modern scripting languages (python, GO, PowerShell) and tools (versioning, GitHub, Ansible) as well as experience utilizing REST APIs, JSON, and YAML
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly secure infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with multiple hardware/software platforms such as:
- Cisco
- Fortinet
- F5
- NetScout
- Nutanix (or other hyper-converged technologies)
- VMWare and Acropolis Hypervisors
- Strong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $47.68 - $57.42 per hour
