Job Description
The Senior Motion Designer will be responsible for creating visually engaging animations, graphics, and visual effects for various media platforms such as videos, advertisements, websites, or mobile apps. This role involves collaborating with creative directors/ art directors, copy and social, and translating creative concepts into compelling motion graphics and motion graphic systems. The candidate will need to be able to perform in fast paced and creative environment and develop outstanding motion design across a large variety of assets and projects. They will work hand in hand with the Brand Creative team to develop the look and feel of David Yurman across social, digital channels.

Estimate Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
Base pay is one component of David Yurman's total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, storyboard, and execute high-quality motion designs that align with the project's objectives and brand guidelines. As well as editing videos, color film and working on title designs. Adding a level of excitement, elevation and modernity to every project.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to deliver innovative and impactful visual content.
- Showcase expertise in animation software, design principles, storytelling.
- Project Management: handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and oversee the production process.
- Collaborate effectively within a team, present ideas, take feedback, and address leadership requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 5+ years) in motion design, animation, or related fields. This should include a robust portfolio showcasing a variety of projects demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of design principles.
- Software proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard motion design software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Maya, or other relevant tools.
- AI driven design knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, composition, and storytelling. Ability to create visually appealing and impactful animations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in motion graphics, visual effects, 2D/3D animation, compositing, and other relevant techniques. Knowledge of video editing and post-production processes.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends, staying updated with the latest tools and techniques to create innovative and engaging motion designs.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a critical eye for quality, ensuring deliverables meet high standards.
