The role of Senior Merchant is responsible for developing defined product categories and executing a retail business plan.

- Develop and execute solid marketing and pricing plans, including strong and detailed promotional programs across all channels.
- Maximize GP $ and improve profitability of programs by analyzing business results and adjusting program to drive sales
- Build promotional plans to drive average basket and increase sales per sq. ft.
- Coordinate effort across a cross functional team to maximize sales and profit for an entire business unit
- Define product mix; responsible for executing retail assortment and category reviews
- Present plans to all levels of management including executives
- Collaborate with brand development and packaging team to define and develop brand
- Inventory collaboration and management for sales planning and item transition forecasting
- Space planning and direction of store fixtures and environment
- Collaboration with the operations team in order to execute programs and related marketing materials
- Manage, lead and develop team while maximizing productivity

The anticipated salary range for this position is $138,000 - $207,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Merchandising/Category Management or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required
- Previous experience supervising and managing others is strongly preferred
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, presentation and planning skills a must
- Ability to formulate a comprehensive Gap Analysis
- Resource planning and forecasting
- Comfortable presenting to all levels of management including executives
- Ability to multitask and direct multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
