Position Summary
The Mechanical Designer is responsible for the preparation or modification of detailed, technical, scale drawings, ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, codes and regulations using computer aided design and drafting methods.
Responsibilities
· Conduct field walkdowns in various weather conditions to gather information to create and/or as-built Piping drawings in a gas plant and/or production facility
· Generate PFD's, P&ID's, 3D modelling, plot plans, details, Isos and full Piping construction drawing packages
· Demonstrate a working understanding of oilfield facilities and how they differ from refineries
· Effectively communicate and work with client engineers and construction crews to successfully complete projects
· Successfully complete small, fast-paced projects on time and on budget
· Work in a team environment, taking direction from department leads and efficiently directing the work of drafters, to produce timely and correct project deliverables
Qualifications
· Associates degree in CAD or related field preferred
· Minimum of five (5) years Piping design experience in the Oil and Gas industry
· Proficiency with applicable codes and standards including PIP
· Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Cadworx 3D required
· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with 3D scanning and Point Clouds
-FAA Part 107 UAV Certification is a plus
· Interpersonal communication skills to interface with all affected teams, personnel, clients, and vendors
· Able to work in a self-directed work group
· Must be able to independently manage time and task priorities
· Valid driver’s license

Pay: $80,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Experience:
