The Senior Marketing Analyst, Global Communications and Engagement sits within the Global Product and Marketing team, which is a part of the Global Network Services (GNS) business. GNS operates in all regions globally to drive scale and relevance for the American Express Brand.
This role will focus on delivering the Marketing Communications and Engagement strategy across international markets with a focus on social media and event management. The successful candidate will be a high performing marketing communications professional, who can think on their feet, and collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders whilst representing the American Express brand. The candidate will develop marketing communication plans which elevate our consumer and corporate events, along with developing impactful social media content to deliver brand awareness, and will be responsible for the delivery of our partner event calendar. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with Corporate Affairs (CA&C), Global Brand (GABM) and various international partner and proprietary markets.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Support the Director, Global Communications & Engagement with delivery of the Marketing Communications strategy, including social media, public relations and events.
- Work across the business on marketing communications with a specific focus on social media to source, develop and deliver globally transferable best practice, content and assets that can be deployed across a number of communication channels to build strong presence for the network in local markets.
- Manage and develop Global Partner engagements, such as corporate forums and virtual webinar series.
- Work closely with the Corporate Affairs & Communications (CAC), Central Brand (GABM), and the GNS Product & Marketing Central teams to ensure collaboration and alignment on the delivery of specific projects, guidelines, best practice, training materials and asset libraries.
- Act as a contact for regional & partner queries to support global consistency in brand and communications, including supporting the GABM and CAC teams with oversight, trainings, governance and new initiatives.
- Flexible to work across multiple time zones and within a dynamic, global team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Marketing Communications and/or Social Media/Event experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to manage and see delivery of projects through to an end
- Strong communicator with the ability to create and deliver persuasive high impact presentations
- Strong attention to detail across all initiatives
- Uses understanding of cultural differences to influence actions and decisions
- Analytically minded, critical thinker with problem solving skills
- Outstanding internal and external relationship management
- Ability to effectively operate with positive high energy and flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing experience in Financial Services or the Payment Industry an advantage
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
