A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager of RWE Proposals (Government) will be responsible for generating customer-facing proposals at a fast pace, in an efficient and scalable manner. Cross-departmental coordination is key; excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will work with the financial, operations, and legal teams within the business unit to ensure proposals are accurate and fully representative of current company capabilities and pricing levels. Transparency is essential; you will keep the company CRM up to date with up-to-date statuses for each proposal document with anticipated delivery date in addition to developing and delivering status reports to the Director of Sales Operations.
Contract drafting experience is a plus, as proposal documents should be drafted in such a way that they are directly translatable into contractual statements of work. Contracts negotiation experience is also preferred, as you may be expected to attend external calls to defend a proposal and accept customer feedback.
As Senior Manager of proposals, you will also be expected to help train additional colleagues in the established proposal processes during their onboarding process.
What you will do
Generate proposals for government-funded studies (facing both Government and Pharma)
Collaborate with the pricing team to develop a scalable pricing model/rate card that can be used to create proposals efficiently and quickly
Collaborate with product management to ensure proposed services are in line with company business capabilities or projected capabilities
Update company CRM (Salesforce) with proposals progress and status; generate and provide reports to Director of Sales Operations
Convert proposals into contracts in collaboration with CVS Legal
Attend external customer calls to defend proposals and accept feedback
For this role you will need Minimum Requirements
5+ years working in pharma-facing or healthcare business
5+ years in Sales Operations, Proposals, Contracting and/or Project Management
5+ years working cross-departmentally in process creation and implementation
Preferred qualifications
3+ years in contracts negotiation
Experience with drafting/editing contract templates
Experience in drafting proposals for government-funded work
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Master's degree preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $166,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
