Senior Lead Control Management Officer - Wealth And Investment Management

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer for our Wealth and Investment Management Control team. Reporting directly to the Control Management Executive this position will interface regularly with WIM line of business executives.

In this role, you will:

• Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines

• Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function

• Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, and business process management

• Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for highly complex risks associated with business operations

• Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements

• Resolve complex escalations that with cross-line of business implications

• Provide direct execution support for Control Management Executive responsible for multiple business functions and governance routines

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong functional background in the Wealth and Investment Management business, including broker dealer activities.

• Risk and Control Self- Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience

• Experience in developing and or monitoring key risk indicators

• A thorough understanding of enterprise risk management framework including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance

• Experience with coordinating cross-team initiatives and efforts

• Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders

• Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end-to-end risk management solutions and controls aligned with group’s processes

• Deep understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type

Job Expectations:

• Onsite presence is required 3 days a week at one of the posted locations
