Our Opportunity
We're looking for a dynamic accounting leader to oversee day-to-day revenue and marketplace operations, monthly close procedures and reporting, and revenue accounting. This is a highly visible role reporting to our broader Quote-to-Cash finance team, and it works closely with stakeholders across the organization in ensuring the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of revenue (ASC 606) and related contract costs (ASC 340).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accounting operational leadership, being an accounting subject matter expert in revenue and working across functional teams in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative spirit. They will have incredible attention to detail and play a critical part of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and financial statement reporting and financial disclosures. They will also collaborate closely with stakeholders outside of the accounting team including deal desk, legal, strategy ops, FP&A and others.
This year the Revenue Operations team will be prioritizing scalability of its procedures through maximizing efficiency in month-end close procedures, most importantly, leveraging its current Quote-to-Cash technical stack including application controls and automation. This role plays a critical part of Snyk's ability to scale revenue operations to meet the external and internal financial reporting needs of the organization.

You'll Spend Your Time:
- Overseeing and driving month-end revenue close procedures for revenue, deferred/ unbilled and related accounts using NetSuite ARM.
- Preparing key revenue reports and financial metrics, including external quarterly and annual financial reporting disclosures such as (but not limited to) RPO and disaggregated revenue.
- Performing technical review and analysis of complex revenue contracts under ASC 606 including pricing/SSP analysis update and revenue allocations as needed.
- Leading monthly and quarterly revenue flux and various reporting forecasting and analytics.
- Overseeing marketplace accounting, contract costs (ASC 340) and related asset and amortization schedules.
- Leading gross and net analysis on complex multi-party transactions including Snyk strategic partnerships and reseller agreements.
- Collaborating with deal desk, sales operations, legal, accounts receivable and financial reporting teams to coordinate and resolve complex sales side accounting matters.
- Supporting the financial audit, preparation of revenue and cost related financial statement components and required and elective financial statement disclosures.
- Working closely with our Business Applications team to drive ongoing process improvements and enhancement across our Quote-to-Cash technical stack including SFDC, CPQ, Zone Billing, and NetSuite ARM.
- Hiring, training, and developing accounts and analysts who review and process complex revenue and cost accounting transactions and/or reporting elements.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's in Accounting, CPA a plus.
- Experience researching, analyzing and concluding on technical accounting matters including issuing and updating technical policies and disclosures.
- 7+ years experience in revenue accounting or public accounting experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606 and internal controls.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities.
- Proven experience building strong cross-team relationships even when divided interests exist.
We'd be Lucky if You:
- Have used Netsuite (ARM), Salesforce and/or Zone Advanced Billing experience a plus.
- Come with experience in startup or fast paced SaaS environment a plus.
