As a Senior Manager of Process Management, you will lead a team of process managers in delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each and every time.
This role in Bank Operations is responsible for leading a critical Enterprise function delivering on Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) requirements for information returns reporting and withholding. These requirements touch every area of the company as information returns are required for a wide variety of transactions and payments. Timely and accurate execution of information returns and withholding is critical to deliver on our regulatory obligations and provide a hassle free experience for our customers. As the business owner for information returns reporting and withholding function, you will:
Manage and lead a team of high performing associates, business partners and vendors to own the end to end delivery of objectives for this function.
Develop and own business policies and requirements for information returns reporting and withholding.
Design, validate and execute processes to deliver on requirements.
Analyze, identify, and correct data issues with systems used or owned by the department.
Design and produce metrics to measure efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop controls to ensure business requirements are consistently delivered and monitor end-to-end process performance.
Identify and implement process improvements to drive issue resolution, mitigate risks or to achieve desired business outcomes.
Communicate results and create transparency for stakeholders on business performance.
Define target state cost, quality, customer experience and delivery capabilities in this space and deliver on a roadmap to achieve that target state.
Engage with lines of businesses across Capital One to promote best practices, and mitigate risks to delivery of information returns reporting for Capital One.
Providing subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings.
Represent Capital One at relevant industry forums and associations.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Process Management and experience leading critical back-office functions for banks or financial services institutions. They must be comfortable developing a deep understanding of Capital One’s products and our technology, data and delivery platforms. They must be able to effectively communicate with and influence partners and stakeholders across the company. Strong leadership, organization and delivery skills, and the capability to adapt to a dynamic, Agile and learning oriented culture are essential to success in this role.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of experience in process or project management
At least 2 years of experience in people management
Preferred Qualifications:
BPM, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
5+ years of experience in process or project management
5+ years of experience in people management
