Role Description
Your North Star: Build a clear path toward exceeding contracted quality and HEDIS measures
As a Senior Manager, Population Health Quality Measures, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Work closely with the partnerships team to deeply understand the details of Pomelo's contracts and expected quality outcomes for health plan partners
- Gather research on the details of various quality metrics, set baselines, propose targets, and communicate with health plan partners to support the partnerships team
- Develop and maintain clear, accurate, and detail-oriented playbooks on each quality measure to build shared cross-functional understanding
- Adapt playbooks into simple, well-designed workflows and clear, actionable care team training to implement company-wide, in collaboration with market operations and care operations teams
- Collaborate with data and product teams to build and monitor reporting on quality measure performance
- Develop and implement continuous and rapid improvement plans as needed based on monitoring data dashboards and team feedback, in partnership with market operations teams
Who you are
- 1+ years experience with HEDIS and Quality Measures, including exposure to technical specifications, value sets, and coding implications
- 5+ years experience in care operations, quality improvement, or Population Health in a rapidly growing, fast-moving organization
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized – you're a master of finding the crucial piece of information buried in Appendix 3
- Combine creative and rapid problem-solving with operational follow-through and accountability for end results
- Ability to work cross-functionally with clinicians and technical teams; pleasantly persistent, with demonstrated ability to lead without authority across functions
- Data-driven, combining effective data storytelling with the analytical curiosity to drill down and flag areas for further investigation
- Passionate about maternal and child health

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Pomelo Care. In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $125-$145K. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
