BMO Bank N.A. seeks Senior Manager-PM Risk Systems Management in Chicago, IL to directly and by managing others, provide production and end-user support and governance for the risk technical platform and system environment that supports risk data, reporting, and control structures (e.g. process controls, user access controls, data integrity controls) to enable risk processes and operations. Support and manage others in the design, development, testing, change control, and implementation for risk analytic data, reporting, and related job automation. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and provide solutions that ensure service delivery and effectiveness. Develop knowledge of Bank’s Information Data Platforms such as Origination, Decision, and Serving systems. Develop, transform, and join transactional and master data sets to produce data assets for data analysis and machine learning models. Lead projects to automate team processes and manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time completion of projects. Design and develop processes and policies to support Risk Portfolio Management. Collaborate with Enterprise team for Infrastructure setup to support Analytics team and Portfolio Managers. Manage Disaster Recovery response plan for all major BAU Risk applications. Integrate new internal and external source systems to the existing Enterprise Data Platform. Responsible for Change Management and user access control. Perform advanced analysis and processing of data to create Risk Metrics for Management and Capital Reporting. Assess the value and impact of new learning technologies, tools, and systems. Use DevOps processes and tools to streamline the Software Development Lifecycle (“SDLC”) process across all applications. Create industry standard metrics to track the performance of different Consumer Portfolio. Perform data preparation and data profiling using various tools to assess structure, granularity, and data quality. Responsible for the maintenance and support of “Business as Usual” (“BAU”) applications. Assist with the creation of management information, risk metrics, and reporting for key stakeholders to ensure proper escalation of any operational or compliance. Work with partners in Operations, Line of Business, and Engineering to ensure that potential credit and operational risk is communicated and addressed. Develop experience working with internal and external regulatory agencies. Collaborate with domain leadership and enterprise architects to understand business drivers, business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding solution design. Make business decisions by working with domain subject matter experts to evaluate technology solutions, articulating the value and tradeoffs of each option. Participate in the creation of enterprise architecture standards and evaluates the quality and compliance of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with those standards. Apply technology and risk principles and standards to ensure proposed solutions are compliant. Align data governance activities to the Bank’s architecture standards and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders as needed. Collectively solve problems in collaboration with enterprise and solutions architects for dependent products and projects. Leverage knowledge of business, operating, and financial models and frameworks.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five years of experience in risk management or similar banking function. Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section unless otherwise stated): Utilizing analytical tools to manipulate and manage large data, such as SAS Studio, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS/STAT, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, Jupyter, RStudio; Advanced experience with SQL/PLSQL/TSQL in different databases such as Netezza, Teradata, SQL Server, GreenPlum, MS Access, PostgreSQL; and Utilizing Big Data tools, including Spark or Hadoop. Experience must also include: Utilizing programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, SAS, Scala; Utilizing Linux and Windows Shell Scripting; Utilizing Job Schedulers such as ESP and Autosys; Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including planning, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation and Evaluating and matching the appropriate methods with the subject matter, including determining strengths of using SAS or SQL, or R or Python. Must have SAS certification. Telecommuting position - can be performed anywhere in the U.S.

Salary: $193,419/year

Compensation and Benefits:

$110,000.00 - $204,100.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
