The Senior Manager of GSCM Continuous Improvement (DBS-Danaher Business Systems) is responsible for leading implementation and operationalization of Continuous Improvement for Global Supply Chain Team globally, supporting the business in delivering to Policy Deployment (PD), True North and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This leadership role is part of the Global Supply Chain DBS team, reporting to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Management - DBS, based in Sunnyvale California. The incumbent will be a business partner to GSCM functions, guiding and coaching cross-functional Continuous Improvement efforts across GSCM, Operations and Cepheid to drive improvement and increase efficiency in material and information flow. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in the development of the Global Supply Chain Lean roadmap and Kaizen funnel. Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in QDCI (Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation) that is tied to Global Supply Chain Kaizen funnel and Daily Management by leveraging Continuous Improvement (DBS) tools, consulting skills, and the change management process. Directly provide formal Continuous Improvement training and facilitate or coach Kaizen events
- Be an active leader and mentor in Daily Management reviews and Action Plan sessions. Support proper selection and sustainment of Kaizen events by leveraging Operations Continuous Improvement process
- Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate Continuous Improvement (DBS) tools to help eliminate them
- Improve Continuous Improvement (DBS) training and facilitating by becoming a Certified Practitioner (CP) in DBS tools. Promote and facilitate associate development in various DBS tools
- Manage and continuously improve Global Supply Chain Continuous Improvement (DBS) process (Kaizen Event Process/Funnel, Certified Practitioner Funnel). Lead change management and learnings to drive Continuous Improvement (DBS) culture and methodologies
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business with 8+ years of Continuous Improvement or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Five (5) years working in Operations, Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.
- Three (3) years of experience in managing and leading a team.
- Knowledgeable of Kaizen Fundamentals and Lean or other Continuous Improvement tools.
- Management and coaching of GSCM senior leaders, other DBSLs and DBS specialists across Global Supply Chain.
- This role will need to travel periodically to all Manufacturing and Logistics facilities, both domestically and internationally.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- DBS Certified Practitioner (CP) in DBS Fundamentals and Lean Tools.
- Experience in medical equipment/diagnostic technology companies.
- Expertise in Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Sourcing, Procurement practices.

The salary range for this role is ($150k-$170k). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
