Senior Manager Of Applications Development (B2B, Document Management And Alfresco)

JOB DESCRIPTION
(This position embraces a flexible hybrid working model, allowing for significant remote work opportunities. However, occasional in-office visits will occur for team meetings, office celebrations, and specific project requirements. Delta Dental has office locations in Alpharetta, GA and throughout California, including in San Francisco, Oakland, and Rancho Cordova. A candidate residing near these locations would be ideal)
As a Senior Manager of Applications Development, you will lead multiple teams responsible for Claims intake and B2B services, which are critical to our claims processing and serving our members and providers. You will also lead document composition, generation, intake and archival systems to serve our members, providers and advocates. You will play a critical role in supporting, developing and coaching individual contributors and leaders within your span. The primary objectives for this role are to advance, modernize and enhance the document composition, generation and archival landscape as well as the B2B ecosystems to position Delta Dental for future growth opportunities. This role requires a strong technical leader with an engineering mindset, who is strategic and future oriented, has excellent communication skills, has passion to develop and grow teams and drives for results with energy, resolve and a continuous improvement mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads with an engineering mindset and promotes and champions engineering practices and standards
• Develops, coaches and mentors individual contributors and hands-on managers to realize their full potential thus allowing the organization to attract and retain talent
• Drives for results with energy, resolve, and a continuous improvement mindset. Applies critical thinking to establish a healthy understanding of driving for outcomes
• Partners effectively with Business, Product and multiple Technology areas to drive and deliver outcomes
• Leads technology strategy to transform and modernize the document composition/generation and document repository platforms
• Leads B2B technology strategy to enhance providers and members' experiences and reduce calls to Contact Center by enriching the existing B2B offerings and modernizing the legacy ecosystem
• Applies strategic agility, is future oriented and can can design & effectively communicate a multi year roadmap in support of overall technology and functional strategy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Cultivate relationships with cross functional team leads/business partners
• Motivates and inspires others across departments/teams to achieve a divisional goal
• Articulates and drives functional and divisional strategy; can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately
• Ability to produce roadmaps to connect to future vision and strategy
• Understanding of Azure cloud platform and its abilities for scalable and flexible solutions
• A strong understanding of core Java, Microservices, Spring Framework, React.js, Node.js, RESTful services as well as structured and non-structured databases
• Preferred - Experience with document composition tools and document repository technologies
• Preferred - Experience with business-to-business EDI transactions and related technologies
• Preferred - experience with AI and Machine Learning technologies

Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $133,300 - $260,000
