Responsibilities

Alignment and transparency are key drivers across IT that enable our teams to work quickly and achieve impactful results. Providing transparency, and key information to all levels of the IT workforce, takes focus and intentionality - especially during times of transformation and change. The Senior Manager for IT Communications will support transformative, global IT initiatives through development of clear, concise documentation and messaging. This leader will also have a key role in the build and deployment of a portal / marketplace for housing this documentation, which will be vital to the ongoing advancement of our IT strategy.

The Senior Manager will develop a scalable, future-proof content architecture with a variety of internal user-segments in mind. S/He/They will establish relationships with leaders and members of various Centers of Excellence across IT. The Senior Manager will also establish content governance and process for the portal, ensuring consistency across branding, content, etc. for all domains. Tangentially, this leader will provide in-depth campaign support for technical and people campaigns such as the cloud transformation, architecture standardization, and the talent strategy.

This is a highly collaborative position that works with and through others to achieve outcomes. Reporting to the Director of IT Communications and Security Awareness, this leader uses influence and executive presence to evangelize "what's possible" when information can be easily searched and accessed via "one door" within IT. S/He/They will have experience presenting to executive audiences as well as an orientation to both user-centricity and creativity in a general communication style.

As part of the IT Communications Team, this leader will provide thought leadership, change management and marketing support to transformative technical and people campaigns that drive understanding and adoption across our global workforce. S/He/They must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and create and advance an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support and mature development of multi-year IT portal vision and strategy as well as define and operationalize tactical plan
    • Prioritize integration of documentation from key strategic and technical domains (Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Security Framework, etc.)
    • Assess and integrate service / support functions in a future phase (IT Workforce Services, etc.)
    • Develop a portal measurement approach, including benchmarking and subsequent metrics targets aligned to COE business goals
  • Collaborate with various domain teams (COEs, Centers of Excellence) across IT as well as senior leadership to understand available publishing platforms (HUB, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.) as well as expectations of future solutions
  • Establish governance process framework including documentation standards (visual design and content) across domain areas
  • Maintain content governance and review calendar; periodically audit all sections of the portal to ensure visual and content standards are met
  • Use the portal as an opportunity to meet objectives outlined by other IT Communications teams (ex. Executive visibility)
  • Partner with Internal IT Communications team to ensure go-forward alignment COE communication and content support
  • Ensure portal is aligned to Corporate brand work
  • Develop marketing campaigns and communication strategies that drive adoption of new and existing tech in collaboration with other areas of IT Communications, Security Awareness or other teams in IT
  • Actively manage vendor relationships to ensure high quality deliverables as outlined in SOWs
  • Assess the entire internal IT communication channel space, including opportunity for "self-service" education and awareness
  • Actively cultivate relationships with industry experts and leverage best-in-class practices
  • Actively seek out diversity and promote an inclusive, highly engaged and purpose driven team culture

Qualifications

Required:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required (communications, marketing, public relations, etc.) preferably with some background in an IT environment
  • Problem solving -ability to be creative in solving issues and unblock problems to maintain delivery momentum
  • Proven success in people management; ability to influence and deliver through matrixed teams
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, positivity and excellence
  • Communication skills with awareness of audience and message customization skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills when interfacing with all levels of management, including c-suite leaders
  • Protect our customers, employees and brands with security and compliance in all decisions; ensure security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identify opportunities for improving security and implement strategies to improve our security posture
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred (Communications, Business, Marketing, Information Technology, etc.)
  • Previous experience in an IT environment is preferred
