- Act as merchant for the ARDEN eCommerce business and lead go-to-market initiatives
- Work cross-functionally with customer marketing, digital marketing, design, product development, creative, and account operations, but act as end-to-end owner of the go-to-market process
- Manage and track program launch milestones to meet targeted go-live dates
- Consult on and reference consumer and competitor research to inform merchandising decisions in collaboration with marketing partners
- Collaborate with Product Development to align new item development with brand’s innovation and commercial roadmap
- Review product-specific details for new products’ digital assets before launch
- Optimize on-site performance for branded product assortments to drive eCommerce business growth and achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals:
- Collaborate and ensure execution of customer site-specific merchandising strategies
- Define superSKU/variant strategy for each item on every site
- Drive continuous improvement in site merchandising quality
- Consult on site-specific digital asset strategies (proposed infographics, A+ content, etc.)
- Manage the trade promotion strategy for eCommerce products (planning, analysis, and reporting)
- Support quoting and pricing strategy for eCommerce accounts (price-pack architecture and margin protection)
- Lead strategy and execution for brand’s eCommerce sampling and review-generation initiatives
- Lead end-of-season product assortment reviews
- Manage and execute the annual SKU rationalization process to continually improve efficiencies via inventory sell-thru strategies (discounts, merchandising updates)
- Manage and grow eCommerce account relationships
- Maintain relationships with account buyers by staying up-to-date with site-specific details, advertising tools, and trade management opportunities
- Oversee day-to-day customer inquiries and issues, and ensure timely resolutions
- Ensure compliance with retailer-specific terms, allowances, and vendor requirements
- Pursue new category-relevant accounts and marketplaces
- Define target markets, develop assortment proposals, and oversee marketing plans to gain new business
- Manage customer data exchange alignment with launch processes and timing
- Provide problem-solving for sales and service issues and communicate resolution to all impacted retailers and departments
- Increase retailer penetration for branded assortments in both digital and brick-and-mortar sales channels
- Special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 6-7+ years work experience in an eCommerce position.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both internally and externally.
- Ability to function and lead in a collaborative long distance team environment; self-directed, motivated and highly flexible.
- Creative and analytic thinker who can easily manage multiple tasks and prioritize work within tight, concurrent deadlines.
- Well versed in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Salesforce, Tableau, or Power BI experience is a plus.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
