This role of Sr. Manager Data Security & Loss prevention will lead a team of Data Security SMEs and will collaborate with the Sr Director of Cybersecurity Operations. This role is responsible for establishing strategy, roadmap, and maintaining sustainable capabilities to securely store, share and prevent loss of Baxter’s most sensitive data. Additionally, will direct the compliance of global data protection laws in the regions that Baxter operates. The person in this role will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience with standard processes around Data Loss prevention.
What you'll be doing
Leverage data protection subject matter expertise to identify, drive the design, implementation and maintenance of capabilities that safeguard the security of Baxter in use, in motion, and at rest and additionally prevent the loss of Baxter’s most sensitive data across its store, share and egress channels.
- Partner across multi-functional Cybersecurity, Infrastructure services, Legal as well as Privacy groups to build defensible, sustainable data protection practices.
- Engage with Cyber business security office, segment partners, developers, and other practitioners across the company, to promote Data protection services and to evolve protections as their needs evolve.
- Direct the update or creation of policies, procedures, and processes based on internal and external threat landscape as well as changing regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with relevant internal business and legal processes and policies, implement existing rules and resolves information Security and privacy questions.
- Lead high-visibility and high-impact enterprise cybersecurity projects with multi-functional teams driving planning, development and management of technical requirements, design, testing and deployment of security solutions while maintaining transparency to results and progress.
- Oversee and manage service delivery and performance of (any) managed services deployed in this function
What you'll bring
- A subject matter expert or past experience in data protection and Loss Prevention capabilities and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in IT Security, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience and knowledge
- 8+ years of IT experience with validated efficiency leading global operations teams.
- Experienced driving operational change at scale. Familiar with Enterprise IT processes for Asset, Configuration, Change, Incident and Problem Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience addressing senior and executive level audiences.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
