Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of team of architects and senior architects, having ultimate oversight of design and development of roadmap to optimize IT architecture that meets business goals. Staying abreast on latest technology trends, evaluating applicability within our enterprise.
- Responsible for delivery of architectural direction, including technical artifacts from enterprise strategy down to solution architecture. Working closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of high quality technical solutions. Solutions must be aligned with the Business’s and IT’s overall strategies, while complying with the organization’s architectural and business standards
- Accountable for the global architecture strategy and direction in collaboration with architect leaders from other regions and offices
- Own and drive architectural governance and standards supporting Global Specialty Lines business, including frameworks, templates, process governance, business architectural models and information architecture across the enterprise.
- Oversight of team and work within own client areas to support implementation of chosen architecture, managing integration process and ensuring smooth operation. Includes: configuration, testing and migration from existing systems.
- Accountable for overall strategic and operational end-result deliverables through guiding, innovating, managing, planning and coordinating architecture activities. This includes staying abreast of the latest technology changes, being outside in focused.
- Evaluates the total cost of ownership and return on investment on various architectural alternatives and understands overarching costs and ROI.
- Experience managing a team of experts, with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead.
- Exceptional decision making, organizational and teamwork skills
- Has a broad view of the enterprise application design strategies and architecture, and an in-depth understanding of client needs.
- Demonstrates expertise in more than one skill and/or discipline.
- Exhibits an extensive knowledge of the technology being analyzed, considered a lead technical expert of specific set of technologies.
- Extensive experience and a solid understanding of design, development, quality assurance and integration methodologies in an agile environment.
- Must be able to use various technical tools to analyze a problem and be able to present the solution.
- Has a solid understanding of client needs and supplies comprehensive solutions to meet those needs.
- Excellent communication, technical and presentation skills are required for interaction with the application and technical community.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field OR equivalent work experience.
- Post graduate may be required
- 15+ years of related work experience with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Application architecture and development experience in the technologies used by the company.
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $165,000 – $207,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $180,000 -$211,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include: 401(k) savings and annual contributions of up to 12% of annual salary, competitive paid time off programs, medical, vision and dental plans, mental health support programs, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave and a variety of voluntary benefits.
